IRIDOLOGY
IRIS ANALYSIS AND IRIS PHOTOGRAPHY
We have all heard the expression “the eyes are the window to the soul." Some believe that the eyes can also be
the windows to the body. Iridology (also known as Iris Diagnosis, Iris Analysis or Irisology) is the study of the
markings in the Iris (which is the color part of the eye located around the pupil). Iridologists believe that the
iris reflects the changing conditions in every part of the body and in every organ of the body. The color, pattern,
and markings in the Iris of the eye are believed to correlate to nutritional strengths or weaknesses throughout the
body and its organs.
By studying the eye, Iridologists can reveal an individual’s specific area of nutritional strength or
weakness, their level of health, and the transitions that take place in one’s body according to the way he
or she lives. Iridology is used as a tool to evaluate, not to diagnose or treat. Iridology reveals
possiblities, potentials, or tendencies. Iridology or Iris Analysis can recognize the following:
- Possible toxins and their locations
- Stages of inflammation
- Inherent weakness or strength
- General overall level of health
- Biochemical deficiencies.
Iridology is usualy used in conjunction with other Holistic Arts such as Muscle Response Testing and
the Body System’s Analysis.
Iridologist, Photography and Analysis
The basic Iridology exam has been done for years with a magnifying lense and a
flashlight. Currently, digital photography of the eye is available and allows a more thorough
analysis of the Iris. This is a great tool to use as you can show the client their own eye and also use it
as a comparison from one point in time to another. Below is an example of a digital eye photo:
Also available at Energy Wellness Center is a computer analysis. The analysis is a highly sophisticated program
that scans the digital photo and reports the varying grades of color change in the iris which designates
nutritionally strong and nutritionally weak areas. This is another tool which allows the Iridologist to confirm
their findings or ascertain more clarity of his findings from the basic exam.
